Fitting & Care Instructions

Please pay attention to the following care instructions to ensure your Rydair pad lasts you many years of riding service (a copy of the care instructions will be sent with each Rydair pad):

Place the webbed side of your Rydair Pad against the horse (Rydair tag to the rear) and fit saddle. Gently pull the pad high up into the gullet of the saddle, raising the pad off the wither. It is crucial to make sure you raise the pad into the gullet of your saddle correctly to ensure your pad does not split and the horse remains comfortable.

When using your Rydair pad with a swinging fender please ensure you use a cloth saddle pad over the top of your Rydair pad to ensure the stirrups do not rub against the pad causing wear marks. Alternatively, if you do not wish to use an extra cloth for protection, you can now order optional wear strips for an additional $40 to the price of your pad. Please just request wear strips when you place your order (please note wear strips are only needed for swinging fender saddles).

IMPORTANT: Lift off after use by peeling away from saddle. The Rydair pad is reinforced to prevent tearing. However, excessive tugging, not remembering to pull the pad up into the gullet of the saddle before riding and contact with sharp objects will result in damage to your pad.

Wipe clean after use with a damp cloth. Pad may also be hosed clean with a gentle spray and left on a railing to dry.

Your Rydair pad should be stored either laying flat or loosely rolled. Avoid folding after use.
