NoBit Bridle Customer Feedback - 2005

Extract from a Letter from Cathy in NSW:

To the helpful staff at No Bit Bridles,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for my No Bit Bridle which I have been riding both my horses in for several months now. I am a keen trail rider and ride on larger properties of several hundred acres. I have yet to progress to riding my 10 year old thoroughbred gelding in the No Bit Bridle in open country. He is very strong willed and can be a nervous horse, but he is responding well at home, in the No Bit Bridle on our 10 acre property.

Since I have had Ammo, a couple of years now, he has gone from being a very nervous, frightened horse to one that is very responsive, willing and trusting. I have invested a lot of time, effort and patience and undertaken a course of lessons in Natural Horsemanship with him and he has developed into a truly wonderful horse. Riding him in the No Bit Bridle, as increased my confidence in myself with him, and he is much more willing and doesn't pull on the reins like he used to. I have yet to gain the confidence to ride him in open country though. I ride my other older mare on trails in the No Bit Bridle and she is excellent and responds really well ridden in it.

I have enclosed a photo of Ammo being ridden in the No Bit Bridle. I am unable to attach to an E-Mail and I hope that you can pass on my comments and display Ammo's photo on your web site.

Thanking you for a great product.

Regards
Cathy

Email from Lian in the Netherlands:

Hello,

I want to send you some pictures of our Fjord, with his NoBit bridle. After reading the site over and over again, I bought a NoBit-bridle. From the first moment he reacted verry well. I would say there is no differents, but there is. He is much happier and more free in his movements.

We go with him to the forest, the beach or on the street with full confidence. Our next move will be riding him with a wagon in traffic. Driving with the NoBit-bridle for the wagon is no problem at all. So I have a good feeling he does as well in the streets of Holland.

The little icelandic horse has a bitless bridle too. After the success with our fjord, we had to give the little ice also a chance after 14 years, to go bitless. He needed a little more time to adjust. But I think he is happy without all the iron in his mouth.

Thanks for making a dream come through!

Lian

Email from Susan in VIC:

We received an email from Susan who is an avid user of our NoBit Bridles as she wanted to share with us a photo of her mare Lilly and her friend at the recent BMW 5 Star Showjumping Series at Hurstbridge. We think Lilly looks fantastic in her Sky Blue Bridle.

Email from Karen in VIC:

Our new green NoBit bridle arrived promptly on Tuesday. That evening we tried it on for size and checked out it how it worked and that we had everything just right. The following day my 11 year old daughter and her 11 year old friend rode our little 6 year old thoroughbred that we've owned just for a month in our 10 acre paddock. The mare has a beautifully placid temperament but hasn't seemed happy with the bit showing reluctance being bridled and head tossing with any contact (we are also waiting for a dental check). I don't know until the dentist visits whether her reluctance with the bit is due to her teeth or her past life as a racing prospect but I liked the concept of the NoBit bridle anyway and wanted to try it. She was absolutely picture perfect with it, with both girls riding her confidently and effortless through our paddock trail happily trotting up the hills. She turned well, stopped easily and behaved impeccably. A very successful outing for our "Espe" and the girls loved it to.

Ps. Thanks for such great service.

Email from Machelle in QLD:

WOW!  Your Nobit Bridle is wonderful!  I just had to slightly touch the reins and say Whoa and Albert stopped so well I almost fell off twice.  I am always having to battle him to stop and stay still.  NOT anymore!!  I am soo impressed I wish to inform you that I want to buy the Rein Adaptors.  I will send orderform in tom with the $10.00 voucher.

Once I get my camera to work I will take a photo of Albert in his new gear.

Best wishes
Machelle

Report on Jodi and Millie from SA:

This isn't feedback as such, more of a little report on a special horse who has helped Jodie overcome her fear of riding. In just 12 short months Jodie has gone from someone too scared to get on at all, to someone who rides out on her own, rides bareback and is now popping over small jumps. Congratulations to Jodie and Millie. It has been wonderful to be able to share in your success.

Update received from Allison in VIC:

I'm am pleased to inform you that the new bridle fits Deja really well. The noseband fits and the cheek straps are a lot better and are not bulging like they did in the Full size. The colour looks unreal on her as well. Really stands out which is what I was wanting. Although I have a feeling Deja can see it out the corner of her eyes and it is a bit bright for her, but I'm sure she'll get used to it.

I actually caught her in the paddock and put it on her before riding her with just rugs on back to the car and she was perfect, really responds well to the cues.

I grabbed a heap of photos of her in the new bridle and couldn't choose which ones to send you so I've attached five small pictures with this email. Hope it goes through quickly for you.

Thanks again for helping me with this,
Allison

Email received from Allison in VIC:

Hi Nicole,

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner, but I wanted to make sure I was able to give the bridle a proper test before replying. I've attached a couple of pictures for you.

I've ridden in the NoBit bridle three times now. All under different circumstances. The first time I rode I only had 15 minutes to see how it worked. I gave it a quick try off the ground first, and she seemed to be fine with it, so I took her into the round yard and she was perfect. No retraining needed. I was able to quickly take her down to the big arena and by the end of the 10 mins down there, I was jumping, going through the weave poles and I was also able to give her a good run back up the hill knowing that she would still be under control. This was all on an extremely windy afternoon.

The next time I set off to test the bridle, I couldn't use the arena because there was a horse grazing in there. So all I could really do was give her a bit of a canter/gallop up the lane ways. She had perfect breaks and her steering was great again, although we did have a bit of a steering problem when food came onto the scene which made me want to test the bridle again.

The final and best time was when I had the whole morning to myself to ride in. Deja was perfect, working really well in the arena and not cutting corners like she usually does. I then took her over the jumps. She tried to get out of the first pole but as I had better steering then in my old hackamore, I was able to quickly correct the problem and get her going over the jumps again.

I have also realised that the way this bridle is designed means that the Sarcoid Deja has on her cheek won't be aggravated like it has been with normal bridles.

Thank you so much for making such a great product that has and will continue to help Deja and my bond increase. We are both so much happier now and I just cannot wait until I can get onto some trails. I'll definitely be recommending the NoBit bridle to anyone who wants a kinder approach to horse riding.

Thanks,
Allison

Email received from Becky in WA:

Hi,

My name is Becky and I have recently bought a bitless bridle. I am 10 years old and I have two Arabians called Teddy Bear and Candy. For some time they have evaded and disliked the bit. A few weeks ago I was reading my hoof beats magazine and I found the ad for bitless bridles. I was delighted at my find. I researched them and decided if it worked it would be perfect. Within a couple of days we got one from Horseland in Bunbury. Yesterday I took it to my horses in Capel and tried it on Teddy. We were overjoyed. He responded quickly and eagerly very happy to be ridden. I am a great believer in bitless bridles and I will never again use a bit. ''YOUR GENIUS'S IT IS A GODSEND''

Thankyou.

Sincerely,
Becky
